Todd Ermisch - Fishizzle Sportfishing Charters

Key West delivered a solid day on the water recently. The crew put in the miles and managed to find a few nice Mahi-Mahi to bring home for dinner, along with plenty of hard-fighting Bonita keeping the rods bent throughout the trip.

While the offshore bite requires a bit of hunting right now, the action is steady once you get on the fish. Trolling weed lines and looking for diving birds remains the go-to strategy for picking up surface feeders in the Keys.

The Bachelor Got His Fish!

The waters around Key West have been buzzing with action lately! Anglers aboard Fishizzle Sportfishing Charters have been landing a great mix of species, making it a perfect time to hit the ocean.

The offshore grounds have been productive for mahi-mahi, yellowfin tuna, and wahoo. Mahi are averaging 10–15 pounds, with a few trophy-sized catches topping 25 pounds. Tuna are schooling in deeper waters, giving sportfishers exciting runs on light tackle. Wahoo have been sporadic but impressive when hooked, providing thrilling fast-action battles.
